The Bark

Brief
The Bark is the student-run campus newspaper for The University of Minnesota Duluth. Part of my role there was illustration of graphics to pair with publications in both the monthly print edition as well as on The Bark’s website.
The below illustrations are primarily from the digital side of The Bark’s output. Most of these were sized with the intent of being a wide header image at the top of articles published to The Bark website.
Strategy
The fun of the illustrator’s role at The Bark was always the opportunity to boslter the journalistic staff with further creative agency. Towards the end of my tenure I was also graced with the 1st place award for Use of Graphic Illustration from the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
